COVID-19 Updates

The Hermitage Hotel has remained open during this COVID-19 period and has spent time upgrading a number of areas of the hotel to brighten our guestrooms and lobby spaces.

For over 100 years, we have been the gold standard for luxury, service, and cleanliness.  We continue to hold ourselves to the highest of standards and in addition, have implemented increased frequency of cleaning and sanitation throughout the property. 

We are following all guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control as well as continuing to follow all local guidance & recommendations.

The following are highlights of our efforts to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for guests, our visitors and employees. 


Public Spaces & Gathering Areas

We have increased the frequency of cleaning and sanitation for all of our public spaces & high touch areas.  Our team is giving increased attention to elevator buttons, bell carts, door handles, handrails, dining surfaces, seating areas and public restrooms, among other areas.

Guest Rooms & Suites

We believe in high quality and effective products from reputable partners.  Medical-grade cleaning and sanitation tools continue to be used during each and every service of a guest room or suite.  Our team has increased their focus on high contact items such as television remote controls, toilet seats & handles, door and furniture handles, water faucets, hair dryer, nightstands, telephones, light switches & temperature control panels, alarm clocks, luggage racks, and door bells.

Hand Sanitizer

Hand sanitizing stations have been installed at the hotel entrance, the front desk, all elevator landings, and meeting spaces.  Hand sanitation stations have also been installed in all high traffic staff areas to promote healthy, clean hands.


Social Distancing

Signage and floor decals have been installed in our public spaces to remind our guests to maintain social distancing.  Our teams are required to wear face coverings, for added protection of our associates and our guests.


OpenKey

We are pleased to offer a low-touch or contact-less arrival experience.  You can use your mobile device as your room key at The Hermitage Hotel.  Simply download the OpenKey app here prior to your arrival to begin your low-touch arrival.


New Technology

We are implementing the use of new cleaning technologies to ensure we continue to be the gold standard of cleanliness.  We will be introducing electrostatic sprayers to sanitize surfaces and areas throughout the hotel.  We have also implemented ultraviolet light technology for sanitizing guest room keys, vehicle keys, pens, and devices shared by associates.

Laundry

Rest assured, we launder all of our linens in-house.  All bed linen & laundry will be changed daily unless otherwise requested by the guest and continue to be washed & dried at high temperatures in accordance with the CDC.  Soiled linens will be removed in biodegradable bags from your guest room or suite to eliminate excess contact while being transported.


Air Filtration & HVAC

All of our guest rooms receive a continuous supply of fresh air from the outside, and we do not recycle air throughout the building.  Our engineering team has increased the frequency of filter replacements and preventative maintenance on these units to ensure they are performing to their optimal capabilities.
